Battle of Newton 2009

Daddy, Jake and Micah recently reenacted in our annual Battle of Newton down here in Alabama. They made great confederates! They were able to camp out in tents just like the real soldiers. Summing it all up...they had a "blast"! ;) (Unfortunately Dad died the first day and Micah, the faithful flag boy, died the next day. :)
Enjoy these couple of pictures!
Blessings!
Anna for us all

Loading the "bullets".

Jake was awesome!

It was great to see Mr. Tingy, who set the guys up for the whole thing!

Mr. Tingy carried Micah off of the battle field.

Daddy is the one w/ the blue fringe on his hat.

A Visit from Lisa

I know that some of ya'll have met Lisa Mills in person, but for those of you that haven't I will give a little bit of our history with Lisa. We met Lisa while living in Germany. Her father was also in the Army and the Mills family lived a few houses down and across from us. Lisa would come over and do mine and Anna's hair. We moved and had no contact... that is until February of this year, nearly 10 years later, when we ran into eachother at a family conference in Columbus, Georgia. Since February, we have enjoyed several visits from Lisa and just this past week we have enjoyed another one. Anna, Lisa, Tina, and I enjoyed an evening dressing up and going to dinner at the Rawls Hotel in Enterprise. This visit was very refreshing for us all. We are praying that God will bless Lisa's future and that we can enjoy a life-time of friendship with her. Below are a few pictures of her visit.
