Gingerbread houses 2009

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well on this beautiful day. :) It has been too long since I last blogged. I seem to get lost somewhere between taking the pictures and putting them on here. :) But, anyways...As is tradition, we had our annual gingerbread house decorating day! It was so much fun. After church and lunch, we all got the tables together and laid out the candy. There were loads and loads of the sugary stuff! Everyone had a great time fellowshipping and decorating. You could tell what some of the little one's goal was...they piled all the candy that their house could support and called it done! :) There were also some that were very artistic. Well, here are a few pictures to mark the event.

My porch fell apart. :) I was able to mend it though. Lydia and I had so many of the same ideas!

Announcing Jacob Blaine Pendleton

Is 29:23 But when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, They will sanctify My name; Indeed, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob And will stand in awe of the God of Israel.

Ps 127:3-4 Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth.

On November 20^th at 7:07pm we welcomed Jacob Blaine Pendleton into the world. He came in at 7lb 15.5oz and was 21in long. Mommy and baby are both doing well. Praise the Lord! Tina was a real trooper from beginning to end. Carol was in the birthing room with Jacob and Tina and couldn’t say enough about what a great countenance she maintained and what a great job she did throughout the whole labor and delivery.

What a blessing it is to see Jake “grasping the baton” and step into his role of husband and father. He has demonstrated the character of true manhood, being a good provider, protector, and spiritual leader. We are grateful to God and pray for His blessing on Jake, Tina, and Jacob Blaine, the next generation of Pendletons.
